Casa Trogon has two private suites for guests to enjoy privacy.

Suite #1: Queen bed, air conditioning (A/C), ceiling fan, shower+jet tub, walkout sliding glass door to private swimming pool.
Suite #2: Queen bed, air conditioning (A/C), ceiling fan, walk-in closet, step-in shower.

There are two sleeper sofas that comfortable sleep one adult, or two children.

Located in Costa Rica's southern pacific zone, this newly built home has everything you could want when visiting Costa Rica's Osa (south pacific region). Great location with easy access (no 4x4 needed).

Only one mile from the Costanera Highway (Highway 34) with a simple drive through the quaint town of San Buenaventura. Close to all the amenities. When most people think of Costa Rica, they think of wildlife, beaches, and the Pura Vida state of mind. This property offers all of it on-site or within 15 minutes.

Additionally, we can offer a private walking tour to a little known waterfall that is nearby (extra fee). High-speed internet is also available. (Although you may not want to tell your boss)

Interaction

Representatives from Osa Property Management will be available via WhatsApp during normal business hours, and in the case of an emergency (property problem, health issue) anytime.
Osa Property Management has offices located in Uvita at the Plaza Perla del Pacifico, Suite #1, and in Coronado (4 km/2.5 miles north of San Buenaventura/Casa Kingfisher). Feel free to drop by anytime.
Epic Costa Rica Tours is the exclusive tour booking agency with Osa Property Management. Guests can book their tours prior to arrival or after arrival. We can send recommended activities, tours and itineraries for guests who would like to receive that information.

Neighborhood

San Buenaventura de Osa is quaint, friendly and safe neighborhood. As one of our guests once told us, "This is the authentic Costa Rica experience." There are two convenience stores in San Buenas (called 'pulparias') where guests can buy any essential item (soda, juice, milk, bread, razors, toothpaste, toothbrush, napkins, etc).

Guests driving to Casa Kingfisher will also drive by the entrance to Osa Golf Course (seasonal), the Catholic Church, one of the two elementary schools and a small local neighborhood. Please drive slowly as there are many children in the community. Also, don't be surprised to see a cow or a horse in the road, or a monkey or toucan in the trees.

San Buenaventura is located 10 minutes south of Ojochal (and all of their amazing restaurants) and approximately 15 minutes south of Uvita.

It is also located 15 minutes north of Palmar Norte/Palmar Sur. Palmar Norte has several large supermarkets, pharmacies and shopping. Palmar Sur has daily flights to/from San Jose

Access

This is a home with private access.
It is behind an unmanned gate with 24-hour, remote control access past the gate, and entry into the home. Guests are free to leave and arrive any time of the day or the night.

Space

Renters will have full access to the home and the private pool.
There is also a shared rancho (covered grill area) across the street that is shared with two other homes. Availability can be reserved in advance if requested, but is availability on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Transit

A private vehicle is necessary to arrive at Casa Trogon. It is located approximately two miles from the nearest bus stop. It is flat terrain, almost 1.5 miles of pavement from the highway to the house, and the last remaining half-mile gravel. There are neither taxis nor Uber service available in San Buenaventura. Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.

Notes

Long-term guests (over 25 nights) are required to pay for electricity and provide a valid credit card upon check-in, to pay for the electricity.
For long-term stays, Osa Property Management will conduct a scheduled walk-through the entire home once a month.
Pets are allowed but a non-refundable fee of $50 is required, regardless of length of stay and a credit card is necessary to bring a pet. A liability waiver must also be signed.
This is a great home for short-term or long-term rentals.

It was very good the house is comfortable and the pool is great, but I think it would be good to have TV via satellite at least and not only netflix or youtube. The wi-fi connection was not the best and the kolbi cellphones never worked in the area.

We looked at a lot of larger and more expensive homes, before deciding on Casa Trogon. We are extremely pleased we chose this home. It was everything we wanted - good WiFi, Satellite TV, private pool and great location, all at an affordable price. Hat tip to Osa Property Managemetn for making our trip so enjoyable. A home away from home!
The house is easy to get to and the caretakers are always available to help you out. The house is in a small community with down to earth, friendly neighbors. It is close to all kinds of activities such as zip lines, horseback riding, birdwatching, and of course the beaches and national parks. The food at the little restaurant next to the fish market is delicious! Thanks Nick! We had a great time!

Beautiful Home and Location
We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica at Casa Trogon! The house was quaint and homey, in a great location, and had all the amenities that we had hoped. The pool was also a great addition and perfect for those hot Costa Rican days. Nick and Abigail were great and very helpful during our trip. They were always friendly and accessible if we ever needed them. Overall, we had an amazing time in Costa Rica and will definitely by going back in the years to come! Pura Vida!
