Description
Casa Lapas is a beautiful house with easy access, incredible views. It is also within 20 minutes of beaches (Playa Tortuga, Playa Ventanas) restaurants, hiking (on site) and tours . The Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. There is very little development in
this area of Costa Rica and you can enjoy the relaxation and beauty of paradise.
Casa Lapas had major remodel completed in June 2020. At that point the home become very popular and a long-term renter moved in for six months. The remodel included:
1) The entire was stripped and re-tiled with new ceramic,
2) The old wooden deck was removed and replaced with a new, 40% larger deck, new pool-side furniture
3) New sidewalks encircling the swimming pool.
4) New picnic table space added (now there are two areas next to the pool providing a great place to socialize without having to be in the pool). They are also great places to put cocktails and snacks while enjoying the outdoors.
5) The rancho had rain gutters added, tile flooring, ceramic tile counter tops, a gas stovetop and emergency lighting.
6) Emergency lighting added on the mainfloor kitchen area.
7) New master-suite furniture, bed, mattress
8) New linens and towels throughout the home.
9) Two new SmartTV's. One in the living room/sala and one in the master suite.
Casa Lapas has never been in better shape except for the day it was completed.
This home has everything. Comfort. Views. Easy access (which is rare in the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica). Year round 2WD access is all that is needed. There are ocean views, ever changing mountain views and wildlife nearby. Scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, green parrots and toucans (to name the most common).
Activities nearby : Withing 20 minutes you can go on zip line tours, horseback riding, whale and dolphin watching, golfing, deep sea fishing, hike in national parks or simply relax. Shopping, pharmacies and grocery stores are all close also.
Interaction
Osa Property Management will be the point of contact for all guests. Depending on the arrival time, guests may meet at the Osa Property Management office in Uvita or directly at the home in San Buenavenutra.
Representatives from Osa Property Management will also be available via WhatsApp during normal business hours, and in the case of an emergency (property problem, health issue) anytime.
Neighborhood
San Buenaventura de Osa, is a small and safe Costa Rican village (pop. 400). There is a local convenience stores (pulparias), a Catholic church, an evangelical church, two elementary schools, and approximately 400 wonderful people.
Osa Golf Course is about one mile away from Casa Lapas, and part of the course can be seen from the second floor balcony.
Access
This is a private home with unlimited 24-hour access.
Space
Casa Lapas rests on over three acres (hectare+) of land and has amazing mountain views to the east and south and Pacific Ocean views to the west.
Clients will have complete privacy during their time. Depending on the length of time at the house, there will be pool service done twice per week. We will notify you of the days and approximate time at check-in.
There are no shared amenities.
Transit
A private vehicle with 4x4 transmission is necessary to arrive at Casa Lapas.
The home is located approximately two miles from the nearest bus stop. It is flat terrain, almost 1.5 miles of pavement from the highway to the house, and the last remaining half-mile gravel. There are neither taxis nor Uber service available in San Buenaventura. Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.
Notes
Pets: A non-refundable fee of $100 per pet is required.
No pets are allowed on the beds or furniture. All feces and waste must be disposed of by the time of check-out.
Information for long-terms stays only:
Stays of 22 days or longer are considered long-term. Clients are responsible for electricity bill, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. In addition, long-term stays require a copy of a valid credit card. An electricity deposit of $300 will be charged to the card at the time of booking. Should the electricity bill be over $300 for the stay, the difference will be charged.
Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:
