Newly Remodeled with great location close to golf, beaches and Ojochal
This home is perfectly located in San Buenaventura and only 2 km (1mile) from the Costanera Highway, with paved roads except the last 200 meters. No 4x4 vehicles needed to get here - which is rare in this area.
Casa Kingfisher was newly renovated with a new couch (ignore the comments on the old reviews), a work desk, outdoor table in the backyard near the pool, new dishes, cookware, beach towels, etc.
Only 15 minutes to some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches (including Playa Ventanas), Playa Tortuga and the famous turtle sanctuary/learning center, private hiking on-site, 3km walk to nearby waterfall.
Casa Kingfisher has two (2) Smart TV's. One in the living room/sala and one in the master suite. They have access to Netflix and YouTube and other applications (each renter must use their own personal login credentials).
Home is located inside Villas San Buenas, which is located next door to Osa Golf Course. Osa Golf Course has clubs and carts for rent and is an enjoyable and challenging golf course.
Representatives from Osa Property Management will be available via WhatsApp during normal business hours, and in the case of an emergency (property problem, health issue) anytime.
Epic Costa Rica Tours is the exclusive tour booking agency with Osa Property Management. Guests can book their tours prior to arrival or after arrival. We can send recommended activities, tours and itineraries for guests who would like to receive that information.
San Buenaventura de Osa is quaint, friendly and safe neighborhood. As one of our guests once told us, "This is the authentic Costa Rica experience." There is a convenience store in San Buenas (called 'pulparias') where guests can buy any essential item (soda, juice, milk, bread, razors, toothpaste, toothbrush, napkins, etc), a Catholic Church and several schools.
Please drive slowly as there are many children in the community. Also, don't be surprised to see a cow or a horse in the road, or a monkey or toucan in the trees.
San Buenaventura is located 10 minutes south of Ojochal (and all of their amazing restaurants) and approximately 15 minutes south of Uvita.
It is also located 15 minutes north of Palmar Norte/Palmar Sur. Palmar Norte has several large supermarkets, pharmacies and shopping. Palmar Sur has daily flights to/from San Jose
This is a home with private access.
It is behind an unmanned gate with 24-hour, remote control access past the gate, and entry into the home. Guests are free to leave and arrive any time of the day or the night.
Renters will have full access to the home and the private pool.
There is also a shared rancho (covered grill area) across the street that is shared with two other homes. Availability can be reserved in advance if requested, but is availability on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A private vehicle is necessary. There are neither taxis nor Uber available in San Buenaventura. Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.
This is a great home for short-term or long-term rentals.
Long-term guests (over 25 nights) are required to pay for electricity and provide a valid credit card upon check-in, to pay for the electricity.
Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:
Full bag of Costa Rican coffee (250 mgs)
Dish soap (sink)
Dish cleaning sponge
Starter set of dishwasher soap (if applicable)
Shampoo in every shower
Soap in every shower
Hand soap at every sink
Start set of laundry detergent
One box of Kleenex per bathroom
If Guests require more of the above, they are responsible for it.
Important: Our properties are protected by a digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by a representative to verify the reservation. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being canceled.
Any missing or permanently damaged/unusable linens, keys, remote controls or any other missing items from the house will be billed directly to the renter at retail cost plus 35%.

For long-term rentals Guests are responsible for electricity and will receive a bill after their stay. A valid credit will be required upon check-in for long-term renters.
This is a NON-SMOKING house and no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. If smoking occurs inside the home a $500 cleaning fee will be billed to Renter.
Pets are NOT permitted unless agreed to, in writing, in advance.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY and Sublease. Maximum occupancy is six (6). Renters are not allowed to sublease or rent out the home during their time here, unless confirmed in writing with OPM. Violation of this will result in immediate expulsion and no refund. Every person using the home must provide a copy of their photo page of their passport.
Pool Rules: There is NO DIVING into the swimming pool and no glassware allowed near the pool.
Any items found by our staff that were left on the property from guests, will be kept for five (5) business days before being discarded. Should clients wish for OPM to mail the forgotten item to another location, a $50 fee plus the charge of mailing, will be charged to a credit card on file prior to sending.
There is a laundry room inside the home. Please do not overfill and remember to empty out the dryer lint screen.
The Property is provided in “as is” condition. Osa Property Management shall use its best efforts to ensure the operation of all amenities in the Property, such as internet signal/access, electricity, satellite TV, etc. Osa Property Management shall not be held responsible for such items that don’t work due to supplier or technical issues, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible. Guests acknowledge that use of all amenities (swimming pool, etc) may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such use is at the Guest’s own risk.
Risk of Loss and Indemnification: Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal effects and other items brought into the Property by Guest/visitors, shall be at the sole risk of Guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and Rental Agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever.
Assumption of Risk, Injury and Loss. It is understood that this home is located near a jungle in Costa Rica and it is possible that dangerous animals, reptiles and/or insects may be close to the home. The Renter(s) assume all risk and acknowledge that wildlife may cause serious and permanent injury/death. Additionally, Renter(s) assume all risks associated with the swimming pool, the home itself and the property. The Renter(s) will hold harmless the owners of this home, Osa Property Management, SRL, and all officers of the company for any injury that may result from any use of the home.
Entry and Inspection: Osa Property Management reserves the right to enter the Property at reasonable times and with reasonable advance notice for the purposes of inspecting the Property or showing the Property to prospective purchasers, renters or other authorized persons. If OPM has a reasonable belief that there is imminent danger to any person or to any property, OPM may enter the Property without advance notice.
