Description
If you enjoy the constant sound of waves crashing throughout the day, huge and sweeping Pacific Ocean views and amazing wildlife nearby, then Casa Tucan is for you and your group! Did I mention the beach is a 5 minute car ride away? Playa Hermosa is a simple, drive down the mountain from this 3-story home.
The home rests at 630 feet (192 meters) of elevation.
There are porches on the western side of the second floor, and over half of the square footage on the third floor is a large open space. This space is fantastic to watch sunsets from, to enjoy spending time together with your travel group or just to have an afternoon coffee (or Imperial beer).
The second floor has two bedrooms, the kitchen and the living room. In addition, there is a wonderful patio to relax and to enjoy.

Located just a short 5 minute drive to beautiful Playa Hermosa. Playa Hermosa is a beautiful beach and one of the few beaches in the area with lifeguards on duty during daylight hours.
Casa Tucán perfectly blends a rustic and older home, with all of the modern amenities, including WiFi, a SmartTV, private swimming pool and private rancho.
Interaction
Osa Property Management will be the point of contact for all guests. Guests will meet a representative from Osa Property Management at the office and then be escorted up to the home.
Representatives from Osa Property Management will also be available via WhatsApp during normal business hours, and in the case of an emergency (property problem, health issue) anytime.
Osa Property Management office is located less than 10 minutes away at La Perla del Pacifico, in Uvita.
Neighborhood
Located above Playa Hermosa de Osa, between Uvita and Dominical.
A short 5 minute drive to Uvita and its grocery stores, banks, restaurants, coffee shops and service providers.
of just a handful of beaches with lifeguards on duty from sunrise to sunset.
Uvita is the southern pacific zone's most established and active area. There are banks, super markets, coffee shops and many restaurants, with all different types of food offerings.
Uvita is also home to the Osa Property Management rental office, and Epic Costa Rica Tour office (they share a space). If Guests ever want to talk to someone face-to-face, they can drop on in anytime Monday through Saturday. During the COVID pandemic, all visitors must have a mask - we will provide you one, free of charge, if you don't have one (one free mask per family/group, then $5 each).
Access
This is a private home and guests will have access 24-hours a day. Private driveway and private parking.
A 4x4 vehicle is absolutely necessary to get to Casa Tucan.
Space
This is a private home with a private driveway entrance. There are no shared spaces or amenities.
There is a private pool and rancho (covered space with a grill and refrigerator) on the property for the exclusive use for guests.
Transit
A private vehicle with 4x4 transmission is necessary to arrive at Casa Tucan.
It is located approximately five minutes from the nearest bus stop up a steep road. There are neither readily available taxis nor Uber service available in Uvita or Dominical.

Notes
Pets: A non-refundable fee of $75 per pet is required and no pets over 20kg/45lb.
No pets are allowed on the beds or furniture. All feces and waste must be disposed of by the time of check-out. A credit card is required to bring a pet and any damages from the pet will be charged to the credit card.
Information for long-terms stays only:
Stays of 22 days or longer are considered long-term. Clients are responsible for electricity bill, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. In addition, long-term stays require a copy of a valid credit card. An electricity deposit of $300 will be charged to the card at the time of booking. Should the electricity bill be over $300 for the stay, the difference will be charged.
House Rules
Any missing or permanently damaged/unusable linens, keys, remote controls or any other missing items from the house will be billed directly to the renter at retail cost plus 35%.

For long-term rentals Guests are responsible for electricity and will receive a bill after their stay. A valid credit will be required upon check-in for long-term renters.
This is a NON-SMOKING house and no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. If smoking occurs inside the home a $500 cleaning fee will be billed to Renter.
Pets are NOT permitted unless agreed to, in writing, in advance.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY and Sublease. Maximum occupancy is 10 (10). Renters are not allowed to sublease or rent out the home during their time here, unless confirmed in writing with OPM. Violation of this will result in immediate expulsion and no refund. Every person using the home must provide a copy of their photo page of their passport.
Pool Rules: There is NO DIVING into the swimming pool and no glassware allowed near the pool.
Any items found by our staff that were left on the property from guests, will be kept for five (5) business days before being discarded. Should clients wish for OPM to mail the forgotten item to another location, a $50 fee plus the charge of mailing, will be charged to a credit card on file prior to sending.
There is a laundry room inside the home. Please do not overfill and remember to empty out the dryer lint screen.
The Property is provided in “as is” condition. Osa Property Management shall use its best efforts to ensure the operation of all amenities in the Property, such as internet access, electricity, satellite TV, etc. Osa Property Management shall not be held responsible for such items that don’t work due to supplier or technical issues, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible. Guests acknowledge that use of all amenities (swimming pool, etc) may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such use is at the Guest’s own risk.
Risk of Loss and Indemnification: Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal effects and other items brought into the Property by Guest/visitors, shall be at the sole risk of Guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and Rental Agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever.
Assumption of Risk, Injury and Loss. It is understood that this home is located near a jungle in Costa Rica and it is possible that dangerous animals, reptiles and/or insects may be close to the home. The Renter(s) assume all risk and acknowledge that wildlife may cause serious and permanent injury/death. Additionally, Renter(s) assume all risks associated with the swimming pool, the home itself and the property. The Renter(s) will hold harmless the owners of this home, Osa Property Management, SRL, and all officers of the company for any injury that may result from any use of the home.
Entry and Inspection: Osa Property Management reserves the right to enter the Property at reasonable times and with reasonable advance notice for the purposes of inspecting the Property or showing the Property to prospective purchasers, renters or other authorized persons. If OPM has a reasonable belief that there is imminent danger to any person or to any property, OPM may enter the Property without advance notice.
