A gorgeous five-bedroom luxury villa, on a 3 acre+ lot, located in Ojochal with great access and location.

Enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean views with sunsets viewable from the living room, porch, pool area and three of the five bedrooms. This recently updated (2022) home is amazing!

There are two suites in the main house , each with king-sized beds and private bathrooms. The two suites in the main house are on the same wing of the house providing privacy for the adults on side of the home, with two other bedrooms on the other wing of the house (and a third suite that is detached from the house).

Suite A: The Master Suite has king-size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, HUGE walk-in closet, cable TV and plenty of space. The spacious bathroom has double sinks, walk-out to pool deck area and two showers. One shower is inside the home - the other is accessed within the bathroom, and is inside the house but no outdoor wall that faces the jungle. It's tough to explain - but a fun and memorable feature nonetheless.

Suite B:
King-size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, private bathroom, shower and private covered patio. The Private Patio is a perfect place to start the day. Just meters from the jungle with outdoor seating. Sit back, drink your coffee as you listen to the jungle awake.

Bedroom #3 is large bedroom with plenty of natural light shining through the two walls of windows. The bedroom has air conditioning, ceiling fan and two queen size beds.

Bedroom #4: Newly remodeled, this bedroom is perfect for kids and has a bunk bed with a single bed on top and a double bed on bottom.

Bedroom #5/Suite #3: There is a second building, 10 feet from the main house that is a private suite (queen bed + private bathroom).

The modern kitchen is stocked full of all necessary supplies for cooking at the home, or for a private chef to prepare meals.

Guests love the huge outdoor, covered patio, to enjoy their morning coffee or to enjoy the sunset drinking a cocktail. There is a grill outside on the patio for those who enjoy grilling vegetables, local fish, steaks or chicken.

Minutes from Playa Tortuga and Reserva Playa Tortuga.

Guests routinely see and/or hear toucans, howler monkeys, scarlet macaws, blue morpho butterflies and other amazing wildlife found in the nearby Costa Rican jungle.

Casa Aventura is spacious with plenty of room for groups up to 13 people. The outdoor patio can easily accommodate everyone in your group.

Interaction

Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management representative at check-in and at check-out. Osa Property Management will also be available from 8 am - 5 pm via group chat. Messages sent after 8 pm will be addressed the following morning starting at 8 am. The home and digital guidebook have all of the emergency phone numbers and information needed in the event of an emergency.

Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports. Palmar Sur is closest (~30 minutes) and has one flight per day in/out of San Jose, while Quepos is approximately 45 minutes from Ojochal and has multiple flights per day on either Sansa Airlines or private charters. We will arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.

Ojochal is known throughout Costa Rica, and indeed the world, for its amazing blend of local life, ex-pat life, amazing restaurants, world-class beaches (Playa Ventanas), a turtle sanctuary (Reserva Playa Tortuga) and wildlife.

Access

This is a private home with unlimited 24-hour access. There is a private gate to gain entrance into the home.

Check-in must be started no later than 8 pm. If a check-in is required after 8 pm, we reserve the right to deny it or to charge a late check-in fee of $75. This is solely the decision of Osa Property Management. No check-ins after 10 pm.

Space

The property is a private home with no shared spaces. Guests will have the exclusive use of the property and the PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL.

Transit

Home is accessible by SUV/AWD/4x4. Smaller automobiles will not make it to the home.

Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided:

Important: Our properties are protected by a digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by a representative to verify the reservation. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being canceled.

Unless agreed to in advance, check-in after 9:00 pm is considered "late" and will incur a $50 fee.

Cancellation Policy

$500 cancellation fee if made 60 days in advance.
If cancellation is for a Holiday Period (Christmas, New Years, Semana Santa) no refunds are issued.

We loved the house, it was perfect for our family of 11. We had a great time.
On arrival, there was a giant animal poop in the pool. They said they would see if they could get someone to come the next day. The pool guy finally arrived at 10am the next morning, which meant we couldn’t use the pool until noon.
The description is contradictory, in one place it says that you can get to the house in any kind of car and in another it says you need. 4x4. You need at least AWD and a car that is higher up off the road.
The dishwasher only works on Heavy Duty, the other settings don’t clean the dishes properly. We arrived to a dish washer full of dirty dishes that had to be hand washed before dinner.
Although the description of the house includes a butlers pantry, that door is locked and off limits.
The property managers were not at all helpful or responsive. Would return to the house, but would not rent again if they are involved.

Natalie, As advertised the home is next to the jungle and, on occasion, animals will defecate on/near the property and we are not available 24/7 to clean up after them. We are sorry for that. We notified the pool company as soon as you notified us of that. We contacted the cleaning company about the dishes. That is inexcusable and we are sorry for that. We offered to get whatever you needed from the Butler's Pantry, and we will remove that from the description. I hope the lack of access didn't ruin your trip as it is used as a storage area.

The property is beautiful as well the neighborhood. The property has a Tucán nest, an a lot of beautiful birds. All spaces are beautiful and the kitchen was equipped to cook meals for a group of 17.

There are enough beds for 13 people, we were 10, the ones spending the night there.

The only downside is that it was difficult for our bus to get to the property, was a 24 passenger bus, it made it. One day rain, and we were needing to meet the bus down hill at the cross road.

Pura Vida experience
This vacation home was beyond my expectations. The home is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. I loved the view to the ocean and the backyard is the natural habitat of Costa Rica. Loved the decoration throughout the home. Pool is amazing and if you take a dip in the pool at night you can stargaze and admire the sounds of Mother Nature. Overall, would recommend to friends and family.

We loved this place! It was the perfect rental. Spacious open layout with plenty of room when traveling with other couples or family. We loved relaxing by the pool and on the patio just taking in the beauty and seeing and hearing the toucans, macaws and monkeys! Fabulous kitchen with all you need to make meals and also amazing restaurants just a few minutes away. Our stay was perfect and we highly recommend staying here!

La casa es MUY VIEJA pero muy grande.
Muchos de los muebles están muy deteriorados y requieren reemplazo.
La piscina y las zonas verdes necesitan mejor mantenimiento.
La vista al mar es muy limitada.
Los aposentos olían a guardado, lo cual muestra lo poco que se usa la casa.
Dos cuartos ( 7 personas ) comparten un mismo baño, lo cual es sumamente incómodo.
Existe un reglamento interno de la casa que lo que hace es amedrentar al cliente con multas si haces cosas indebidas. Pienso que ésta estrategia en personas educadas no son necesarias.

Johnny was upset that we couldn't allow an earlier check-in (therefore he left a 1 star review for check-in). We were clear from the start that it wasn't possible. He continued to complain about that and that we couldn't offer a late check-out due to other clients arriving later in the day. Therefore, he left a 3 start review. We would NOT rent to him again. Hosts beware!

I stayed here with my family and we really enjoyed the outdoor living area and pool! We were a little disappointed that the wifi was not as advertised as we needed to work remotely and had to take turns using the internet. I reported the issues along with a broken AC unit on our first night but unfortunately neither were able to be fixed during our 6 night stay. The home is located in a wonderful area and is great for a large group. I would recommend the management company include a welcome packet with information on how to dispose of garbage, what can be composted, wifi troubleshooting etc. as this would have avoided a lot of back and forth communication.

We spend a weekend in the house and it is a beutiful place, easy access and great views. Rooms are spacious, beds are confortable and you can find all you need in the kitchen. Osa Property Management Staff was very helpfull before and during our stay. However, the pool area needs some important safety improvements. The main stairways to access the pool area from the house does not have neither the proper dimensions, elevation or floor tile. Does not have any railing at all. The floor tile around the pool does not have the proper nivelation and water accoumulates in some small sectors, which area very slippery. I strongly recoment to the house owners to make some safety improvements to secure your visitors are safe, while enjoy your beautiful home.

What a spectacular property. The views from the expansive back deck and pool area are postcard-perfect. The house is in a perfect location: on a hill with complete privacy, but easy to access and get to restaurants, shopping, and the beach.

The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, including a powerful blender to make your own delicious smoothies from the many roadside fruit stands. The owners’ extra touches show through: well-marked switches, card games, books and DVDs, cable television, and multiple Wi-Fi networks with blazing speed.

The property management was an unexpected bonus. Nick, Abigail and the OSA property team were in constant communication with us: setting up a WhatsApp chat weeks in advance, and responding to every request or question in minutes. We even spent time with them and other renters, going to a tilapia restaurant, and sharing meals and time for our collective kids to play together. Truly a delight to have hands-on management like this - made us feel as if we were staying with friends.

All up, an exquisite property that will provide lifelong memories for any family lucky enough to spend time in this magical place.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Absolutely gorgeous!! We loved our time in Casa Aventura. Being located so close to Citrus Restaurant, the grocery store and Reserva Playa Tortuga, made visiting our favorite spots easy and convenient. Love the pool and beautiful pool deck. Very private and comfortable bedrooms. Even with kids on the trip, the suites are on one side of the home and the kids on the other wing.

La casa es amplia, y muy bien equipada. Caben comodamente 10 personas en 10 camas, y 2 más en un sofá cama que cuando se extiende queda a ras de piso. El área social es muy amplia, y todos los implementos sirven perfectamente. La piscina está ubicada frente a la terraza, con excelente vista. Queda cerca de playas y sitios atractivos de la zona. La casa es de fácil acceso y bastante segura. Está ubicada como a 20minutos del Supermercado BM, donde se puede conseguir absolutamente todo lo necesario en cuanto a comida. La empresa que administra la casa responde de forma pronta a cualquier pregunta o requerimiento - realmente excelente servicio y atención. Esperamos volver pronto.

The house was beautiful; pool was great; location was great. We saw lots of toucans. The hot tub is not hot FYI, but warmer than the pool. There is no air conditioning in the main part of the house just the bedrooms, but that was fine for us. Make sure to get directions on how to get and use water. The water was off when we arrived and we had to fill the cistern regularly.

We apologize for the water issue. The ASADA (water utility) was doing repairs in Ojochal for the past month as they upgrade the entire town's water supply system. The ASADA were working on pipes and upgrades in the area/pipeline of Casa Aventura during their stay. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Correct: A/C just in the bedrooms. The vaulted ceilings (over 15 feet tall) coupled with ceiling fans, allow plenty of air movement throughout the main inside part of the house.

Highlight of our Trip
Staying at Casa Aventura was the highlight of our entire Costa Rica trip. We were very busy with tours during most days, but to be able to come "home "every afternoon/evening to this amazing house, is something we will never forget.
