Casa Helena is a wonderful home for couples or small groups to enjoy time in Costa Rica's amazing southern pacific zone. Guests will be close to all of the amazing nature that Costa Rica has to offer (howler monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, flowers, fruit trees, etc) and be close to some of the fun and entertainment that Ojochal offers - amazing restaurants, friendly bars and live music.

The newly paved road in Ojochal provides a smooth arrival to Casa Helena.

This is a great home with views of the Talamanca mountains, which rise above Ojochal.

The cute home has an open floorplan making it easy to move from one room to the other. The ground floor houses a lovely cook’s kitchen with handy features. The bedroom is large and has air conditioning (and a ceiling fan). There is an added queen bed in the living room for friends and family.

The private outdoor courtyard and private pool is where most guests spend the majority of their time, when they aren't out exploring the nearby beaches (Playa Tortuga and Playa Ventanas), volunteering at Reserva Playa Tortuga (want to help protect the turtles? They are always looking for day-volunteers), ziplining through the jungle, watching whales or bird-watching or enjoy the nearby restaurants.

There is a large, open-air loft upstairs that captures the full view of the magnificent Mountain View. It is a great place to practice (or to learn) yoga, enjoy your morning coffee or simply relax in. We can help line up a private yoga instructor or private masseuse if you want the ultimate privacy and pampering.

The home ~30MB internet speed which is more than enough for Zoom meetings, streaming movies on your personal device or on the 39" SmartTV in the living room.

Casa Helena es una casa maravillosa para parejas o grupos pequeños para disfrutar del tiempo en la increíble zona del Pacífico Sur de Costa Rica. Los huéspedes estarán cerca de toda la increíble naturaleza que Costa Rica tiene para ofrecer (monos aulladores, tucanes, guacamayos escarlata, flores, árboles frutales, etc.) y estarán cerca de la diversión y el entretenimiento que ofrece Ojochal.

Esta hermosa casa con vistas a las montañas de Talamanca, que se elevan por encima de Ojochal.

La casa tiene un plano de planta abierto que hace que sea fácil moverse de una habitación a otra. El diseño de esta casa está bien pensado para el tamaño reducido que tiene. La planta baja alberga una hermosa cocina con elementos prácticos. También encontrará el dormitorio principal y el baño privado, además de una sala de estar interior de buen tamaño con una cama adicional para los invitados.

El patio privado al aire libre y la piscina privada es donde la mayoría de los huéspedes pasan la mayor parte de su tiempo, cuando no están explorando las playas cercanas (Playa Tortuga y Playa Ventanas), como voluntarios en Reserva Playa Tortuga (¿quieren ayudar a proteger las tortugas? siempre están buscando voluntarios de día), canopy por la jungla, avistamiento de ballenas u observación de aves o disfrute de los restaurantes cercanos.

Hay un gran loft al aire libre en el piso de arriba que captura la vista completa de la magnífica vista a la montaña. Es un gran lugar para practicar (o aprender) yoga, disfrutar de su café matutino o simplemente relajarse. Podemos ayudarlo a contratar un instructor de yoga privado o un masajista privado si desea la máxima privacidad.

La velocidad de Internet en casa de ~ 30 MB, que es más que suficiente para reuniones con Zoom, transmisión de películas en su dispositivo personal o en el SmartTV de 39 "en la sala de estar.


Representatives from Osa Property Management will be available via WhatsApp during normal business hours, and in the case of an emergency (property problem, health issue) anytime.
Osa Property Management has offices located in Uvita and Coronado.
Guests will receive a restaurant recommendations and Osa Property Management, in conjunction with Epic Costa Rica Tours, can schedule all of your tours. Your only 'job' will be to book Casa Helena, let us know what you enjoy doing through emails/text/calls, and enjoy your time in Ojochal.

Los representantes de Osa Property Management estarán disponibles a través de WhatsApp durante el horario de oficina normal y en caso de una emergencia (problema de propiedad, problema de salud) en cualquier momento.
Osa Property Management tiene oficinas ubicadas en Uvita y Coronado.

Ojochal is an established town in the southern pacific region of Costa Rica with a wonderful blend of locals, ex-pats and visitors.
Ojochal is known throughout Costa Rica for its amazing variety and quality of fine-dining restaurants. The most popular restaurants in Ojochal are Citrus, Exotica, The Bamboo Room (daily live music).
Casa Helena is within walking distance to a small grocery store and several bars/restaurants.

Ojochal es una ciudad establecida en la región del Pacífico Sur de Costa Rica con una maravillosa mezcla de lugareños, expatriados y visitantes.

This is a home with private access, located behind a gate.
It is behind an unmanned privacy fence with 24-hour access.
Guests are free to leave and arrive any time of the day or the night.

This is a gated property and there are no shared spaces.
Renters will have full access to the private home and to the private pool.

A private vehicle is necessary. There are neither taxis nor Uber available in Ojochal.
Contact Osa Property Management if you need help lining up a rental car or a private driver.
The home is approximately 35 minutes from Palmar Sur regional airport, 55 minutes from Quepos and 3 hours from San Jose (SJO) Juan Santamaria Airport.

Es necesario un vehículo privado. No hay taxis ni Uber disponibles en Ojochal.

La casa está aproximadamente a 35 minutos del aeropuerto regional Palmar Sur, a 55 minutos de Quepos y a 3 horas del aeropuerto Juan Santamaría de San José (SJO).


This is a great home for short-term or long-term rentals.
Long-term guests (over 25 nights) are required to pay for electricity and provide a valid credit card upon check-in to pay for the electricity.
For long-term stays, Osa Property Management will conduct a scheduled walk-through the entire home once a month.

Pets are not allowed

Esta es una muy buena opción para alquileres a corto o largo plazo.
Los huéspedes a largo plazo (más de 25 noches) deben pagar la electricidad y proporcionar una tarjeta de crédito válida al momento del check-in para pagar la electricidad.
Para estadías prolongadas, Osa Property Management realizará un recorrido programado por toda la casa una vez al mes.
Se admiten mascotas (un perro, menos de 20 kg) pero se requiere una tarifa no reembolsable de $ 100 y se requiere una copia de una tarjeta de crédito, independientemente de la duración de la estadía para cualquier persona que quiera traer una mascota. Debemos ser notificados antes del check-in que los huéspedes traerán una mascota. Si un huésped llega con una mascota, sin notificación previa, Osa Property Management se reserva el derecho de cancelar inmediatamente la reserva, sin reembolso.

House Rules

Any missing or permanently damaged/unusable linens, keys, remote controls or any other missing items from the house will be billed directly to the renter at retail cost plus 35%.

Check in time is 3:00 PM Check out time is 11:00 AM

For long-term rentals Guests are responsible for electricity and will receive a bill after their stay. A valid credit will be required upon check-in for long-term renters.

This is a NON-SMOKING house and no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. If smoking occurs inside the home a $500 cleaning fee will be billed to Renter.

Pets are NOT permitted unless agreed to, in writing, in advance.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY and Sublease. Maximum occupancy is four (4). Renters are not allowed to sublease or rent out the home during their time here, unless confirmed in writing with OPM. Violation of this will result in immediate expulsion and no refund. Every person using the home must provide a copy of their photo page of their passport.

Pool Rules: There is NO DIVING into the swimming pool and no glassware allowed near the pool.

Any items found by our staff that were left on the property from guests, will be kept for five (5) business days before being discarded. Should clients wish for OPM to mail the forgotten item to another location, a $50 fee plus the charge of mailing, will be charged to a credit card on file prior to sending.

There is a laundry room inside the home. Please do not overfill and remember to empty out the dryer lint screen.

The Property is provided in “as is” condition. Osa Property Management shall use its best efforts to ensure the operation of all amenities in the Property, such as internet access, electricity, satellite TV, etc. Osa Property Management shall not be held responsible for such items that don’t work due to supplier or technical issues, but will make every effort to correct any issues as reported as quickly as possible. Guests acknowledge that use of all amenities (swimming pool, etc) may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such use is at the Guest’s own risk.

Risk of Loss and Indemnification: Guest agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal effects and other items brought into the Property by Guest/visitors, shall be at the sole risk of Guest with regard to any theft, damage, destruction or other loss and Rental Agent shall not be responsible or liable for any reason whatsoever.

Assumption of Risk, Injury and Loss. It is understood that this home is located near a jungle in Costa Rica and it is possible that dangerous animals, reptiles and/or insects may be close to the home. The Renter(s) assume all risk and acknowledge that wildlife may cause serious and permanent injury/death. Additionally, Renter(s) assume all risks associated with the swimming pool, the home itself and the property. The Renter(s) will hold harmless the owners of this home, Osa Property Management, SRL, and all officers of the company for any injury that may result from any use of the home.

Entry and Inspection: Osa Property Management reserves the right to enter the Property at reasonable times and with reasonable advance notice for the purposes of inspecting the Property or showing the Property to prospective purchasers, renters or other authorized persons. If OPM has a reasonable belief that there is imminent danger to any person or to any property, OPM may enter the Property without advance notice.

“We stayed at Casa Helena for two weeks and really enjoyed it. The pool is great for cooling off in the afternoon, the rooftop deck is a great place to drink your coffee and watch the sunrise. There are birds, hummingbirds, and Iguanas all around the well-landscaped property. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked. The neighborhood is pretty relaxed with a nice mountain view and close to a handful of restaurants. The beach is about a 10-minute drive away, so would recommend having your own vehicle to stay here.”
