Casa Luna de Plata Mountain Top Luxury Home

Location

Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Short Description

Four Ocean View Suites. Sunsets and 270-panoramic views with privacy in Manuel Antonio

Description

Luna de Plata is beautifully perched high atop the hill of Valle Pura Vida, overlooking Manuel Antonio, Quepos and wonderful Pacific Ocean views. Newly expanded and remodeled kitchen and Owner's Suite in January 2023.

This luxury home has glorious 270-degree view. Unlike any other in the area, Casa Luna de Plata offers an unimpeded, wrap-around view of the ocean, its coast, the Cerro Nara Mountains, and the jungle below. Oriented to the west and east, sunrises and sunsets are a daily joy.

Being located atop of the tree line provides you with not only unsurpassed views, but also the unique experience of daily visits by troops of monkeys, flocks of Macaws, Toucans, and the occasional Sloth, not to mention an array of other jungle visitors

Each of the four bedrooms provides an unparalleled blend of luxury living and French design. Every bedroom has a king-size bed, air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a private patio. This design ensures that no matter where you are in the home, you will have breathtaking unobstructed views, in the private setting of one of the most luxurious homes in Manuel Antonio.

The large and spacious infinity pool and the deck is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your time in the sun or take an evening swim to unwind after a day of adventure. The sunsets are spectacular and pair perfectly with a margarita prepared at the covered rancho/bar area.

As the name of the home, each bedroom is named to provide a sense of place. (REMINDER: The entire home is for you, and only you, this is only a way to differentiate each bedroom).

Luna Roja and Luna Negra are sister suites that are both located on the first floor of the home. They share a large terrace that has a sliding screen. Close the screen for privacy or open it to share the terrace.
Both suites are designed with a classic French vintage feel and finishes. With approximately 700 square feet (65 M2) of living space, there is plenty of room to relax, Each room has a wall of glass with sliding doors leading to the terrace and offering a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and the nearby mountain range.

Luna de Miel, affectionately known as the Honeymoon Suite, is a very private space. This suite encompasses the entire top floor with a large private terrace and outdoor Jacuzzi. On the roof terrace, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and its sunset.

Watch for the evening visit of a flock of Macaws who often come to say hello! You will appreciate the luxurious comfort of this space and feel as though you are in your private treehouse sitting atop the jungle below.

Luna Llena is located off of the home's main living space, providing easy access to the kitchen, living room, and several terraces. This suite is considered the owner’s suite of the home with a large walk-in closet, dual vanity in the bathroom, and a private entrance from the pool and main terrace.

The common areas are anything but 'common'. The modern European-style kitchen provides everything you will need during your stay (if something is missing, please let us know, and we will work to find it for you). The spacious living room and dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, French and sliding doors throughout, providing constant breezes from the nearby mountains and ocean, resulting in a wonderful airflow throughout the main floor. You can expect uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean to the west and northern views of the mountains.

There are multiple workspaces and desks throughout the home for those needing to Zoom into work or classes. Internet and cable TV are available throughout the home. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and have their own personal safe for valuables. The dining room table has seating for eight (8).

Together they will discuss transportation (to-and-from the airport, rental vehicle while in Manuel Antonio), arrange all excursions/tours/activities with certified and reputable companies, coordinate a private chef, any small event, procure that your special requested items are available at the Property upon your arrival (beer, water, snacks, etc.), includes all other requests to ensure your vacation stay is nothing short of relaxing and stress-free.

If you don't want to drive in San Jose or drive to the home, we can secure a private shuttle for just you and your guests that will pick you up right outside Customs at the airport, and drive you to the home.

The Concierge will make sure you have a wonderful luxury vacation in Manuel Antonio and during your entire time in Costa Rica.

Neighborhood

Its world-famous National Park (as seen on NatGeo, The Travel Channel, and just about every other travel show) is also a short car trip away. Angely (review from Airbnb)
We had such a perfect stay at Casa Luna de Plata! Ronny was so kind, responsive and provided great recommendations. The house was perfect for our group of 5 and it was so beautiful, clean and well equipped. You definitely need a 4x4 for the drive up to the house but it’s worth it for the jaw dropping views (also, it’s a fun ride!). The pool was stunning and the hot tub was a sweet ending to our very lively evenings. We recommend booking with the private chef for an unforgettable dinner and cocktail experience at home. This was one of the best airbnb experiences we’ve had and we hope to return soon!

Adam (review from Airbnb)
The property was STUNNING!! Our hosts were amazing to deal with, and Henry was there when we arrived, we had late check in and they were there to welcome us with snacks and smiles!
The wildlife was beautiful! I sat by the pool 20 minutes after arrival, looked up and there was David Lee Sloth!! The macaws were there to greet us every morning! We saw monkeys, iguanas, toucans, so many birds!!
Amazing sunsets! From multiple decks!
Everything about this place was unreal!! We will be returning!
We cant say enough about Henri, Carlos, and Ronnie. Can't wait to see them again! They got everything for us, Carlos kept everythjng tidy and helped us carry our luggage!
They made sure we were aware of the need for 4×4 vehicle! And helped arrange transportation direct from the airport! So glad we took that option!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Ronny and the Osa Property Management team, our family had a trip of a lifetime. Osa booked all of our tours/excursions including transportation and it could not have went better. In addition, they were there to book restaurant reservations, taxis etc. A true 5 star experience! The Buehlers

Wonderful stay. Exceeded expectations. Views of the jungle canopy and Pacific Ocean with morning coffee unforgettable. Management team was spectacular and were flexible even with last minute changes to our itinerary. Would highly recommend to anyone considering visiting the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area.

Amazing
This home, the views, and the wildlife interactions create an experience like no other. The home offers comfort in every aspect , and Ifeatures a modern design with high end features throughout. You are actually in the jungle and can hear the toucans sing, see the macaws fly, and watch the monkeys play. It is beyond amazing. The home is so perfect, we found it hard to leave and view the rest of Manuel Antonio. We will definitely make it an annual destination.

Never wanted to leave.
Magnificent contemporary home in an equally beautiful location. The top floor where I stayed has a breathtaking view, a large room with luxurious bed, a rainhead shower, a large terrace and it's own private plunge pool. The furnishings and art in this home are not the typical vacation home throwaways. Every piece is beautiful and I would not be surprised to see this home in Architectural Digest. Infinity pool of course and with unobstructed views everywhere you look. Toucans, monkeys and a sloth will all be right there in the trees above you! Its extraordinary. this place is about breathtaking sunsets, laughter with friends, cooking together and making fond memories. I truly cannot wait to go back.

This place was astonishing. Beautiful views, AMAZING house both inside and out! Lots of wildlife around. The private chef was AMAZING as well! The only scary part for me was driving up the hill. But most taxi drivers in the SUVs had no issues at all getting up. Would stay again 10/10

We had an incredible stay that we will never forget!! The house is absolutely stunning and feels very homey and modern. We can’t wait to come back!! Pura Vida!!

This house was outstanding. Right in between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Couldn’t ask for a better local. FYI 4x4 is a must.

Gia (review from Airbnb)
Everything abou this property blew us away. Believe it or not the photos do not do the property justice, you have to feel it to understand. The location, design and service was impecable. Our Host Francisco made sure to check in with us regularly and even helped with bookings such as a chef service, local grocery delivery service and horseback riding (all highly reccomended). Just be sure to rent a 4 wheel drive car if driving, the climb to the house is no joke but it is well worth it as you’ll be on top of the world once up there.

Thank you for an amazing experience, Can’t wait to book again ! Pura Vida

Sara (review from Airbnb)
Gorgeous views and your own personal zoo! You will not be sorry. The rooms are large and comfortable. Many of them had little kitchenettes with mini fridges. The patios and balconies all had fantastic views. Be aware that The swimming pool and jacuzzi disappointingly are not heated. And the main living room, dining and kitchen are not cooled. Also know that the home has many many steps up and down just to get into the home and then up or down to your rooms, patios and pool areas. You will definitely see animals! Monkeys, sloths, toucans and parrots were there everyday. We ran out at sunrise and sunset each day to see our animals and it was so exciting to come home and unwind knowing this. Make sure to wear bug spray on your exposed areas lol. We found ourselves being nibbled on by who knows what just walking around in the jungle but never really seeing what they were. This is for Costa Rica in general. We also asked and were given the what’s app link to a personal delivery service who picked up groceries or meals for us so we didn’t have to leave the house. But if you do, everything you could need was just minutes away. Make sure to watch the sunsets from the bedroom at the very top! Oh also there’s no dryer but there is a washer. In a house this big we expected this. The driveway up the mountain to the house was scary at first. Try to come in the daytime the first time you come. It is steeply pitched, has sharp turns, uneven pavement and not good signage. Make sure your phones are on Google maps and Waze. But even then, know that the directions fall short to get to the house. You will go over a tiny bridge and just continue to head up. At night you will not see this very well. A 4x4 is REQUIRED! But let me assure you it all adds to your adventure… this home and the experience you will leave with are both ONE OF A KIND! We will be back!

Response:
Thanks for the thorough review Sara. We look forward to seeing you again. NOTE: There are actually two clothes washers and one clothes dryer - we are updating our Guidebook to make that more clear. Sorry for the confusion.

Beautiful house with great views!

More spectacular than the photos
You can’t beat this place. It’s somehow more spectacular than the photos. I could sit on the deck by the pool all day long and look at the almost 360 degree view of the ocean and valley.
