Description

Enjoy everything that Ojochal and the southern pacific region has to offer from a brand new (January 2022), three-bedroom home, in the heart of Ojochal, with high-speed internet.

Guests will love the easy access (no need to rent an expensive 4x4 vehicle), the proximity to grocery stores, bars and restaurants (5 minutes away) and the ability to enjoy some of Costa Rica's best beaches on a moment's notice.

Villa Mariposa comfortable sleeps up to six (6) guests with a king-sized bed in the Owner's Suite (en suite bathroom) and two other bedrooms each with queen beds. All bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. In addition, there are ceiling fans throughout the common area ensuring constant fresh mountain air is circulated throughout the home.
The kitchen, living room and outdoor living space all flow easily due to the open floorplan.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessary equipment to prepare your own meals (or have the concierge line up a chef for you).
The back patio has views of the mountains that surround Ojochal, a private swimming pool and a covered patio, providing year-round enjoyment. In the afternoon, be sure to have your camera and cell phone ready to record the scarlet macaws feasting on the almond tree on the property (we can't guarantee they will be there however, most days they are).

The living room has a SmartTV connected to the internet so guests can enjoy their favorite streaming platform.

For those working or "attending" class, there is a dedicated desk space.

On-site laundry is available to use (no charge).

There is space for two vehicles in the driveway (room for one vehicle to be in the covered garage).

Interaction

Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or the local regional airport in Palmar Sur (closest) or in Quepos, to the property in Ojochal.

We will also arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.

Neighborhood

Villa Mariposa is located in Ojochal and is known as one of the best foodie towns in all of Costa Rica (the most well known restaurants are Exotica and Citrus). Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas and Playa Tortuga, great and beautiful beaches. Be sure to visit Playa Ventanas, famous for its sea caves.

For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 8 minute drive south from the Ojochal entrance.

Villa Mariposa is part of Ojochal's newest horizontal condo development.

Access

Guests will meet with Osa Property Management Team Member for check-in at a predetermined location and then be escorted to the home. After check-in, guests have unrestricted 24 hour access.

Space

The home and the pool are for the exclusive use of guests at Villa Mariposa. There are no shared spaces.

Transit

The home is easily accessible by any kind of vehicle. Ojochal does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available. The roads to the home are paved except for the last 30 meters.

Love it!
We had an amazing time at Villa Mariposa in Ojochal! Our kids loved the pool and we loved this well appointed home that had everything that we needed. The listing is on point besides the parrots in the almond tree. We were there for 10 days and never saw one but maybe it was just the time of year? I'm certainty not knocking anything off my review for not seeing a specific animal! The neighbors were super friendly and the main bedroom was super spacious and that king bed was really soft and comfy. The property management company Osa was great as well and very on top of any request and checked in with us several times during our long stay. Lots of great family memories and we hope to come back!

Magical place in a tropical paradise!
It was amazing- clean, well stocked with everything you could ever need, the perfect backyard and views for coffee in the mornings. Everyone with the management company was very helpful and responsive. Absolutely love and would recommend, we can’t wait to come back!

This is not a villa. it's a condo in the hottest part of town with no shade trees. looks like it should be in Vegas not Costa Rica. the pool is a small plunge pool not much bigger than a sheet of plywood- not a swimming pool as listed. AC in rooms is regulated by door sensors and motion sensor- it shuts off often leaving you in a sweat box. we were informed of the possibility of an upcharge if we used too much power! The only wildlife nearby was a noisy neighbors dog and kids- their pool is 20 feet from this property. Rooms smell like mold. If you are wanting a Costa Rica experience this is not the place.

Becky, We NEVER upcharge a client for using electricity. That is 100% false and misleading and we are not sure why you would lie about something like this. We do have A/C sensors to ensure that guests are not wasting electricity which is part of our sustainability goals of minimizing carbon footprints. We loved the Villa. Our kids especially loved the neighborhood dogs that would swing by to say good morning each day. The Mountain View’s were fantastic and the neighbors were very friendly. The checkin and checkout process was super easy. Highly recommend staying here when in Ojochal. Awesome community vibe and these units give you privacy you wouldn’t expect while being tucked in to a “close in proximity” community of new villas. The private pool was great too. Kitchen fully stocked and used the grill one evening. Great place.

Paradise
This is a new villa in a small neighborhood of other new villas called Villas Ojochal. It has all the modern amenities you'd expect but you're in the jungle with magnificent views of the mountains. We so enjoyed the small private pool and back patio. We would start our mornings out on the back patio watching the sun peak over the mountains and watching the birds and butterflies in the fantastic landscaping. One morning we were delighted to see a toucan. I highly recommend this villa. It's very spacious with plenty of room for all. Also there are some amazing gourmet restaurants in Ojochal. Overall a wonderful experience!

My family and I stayed here for 3 days in July and it was thr perfect place to land. It was close to all of the attractions we were interested in. Tons of good restaurants nearby too. Check-in is a little clunky as you have to meet up in Utiva prior to arriving at the actual spot. The home is exactly as pictured and incredibly nice. They thought of everything: tons of dishes, pots and pans, tons of towels and a first aid kit as well. It was probably one of the most well stocked bnbs we've every stayed at. It is really close to the neighbors so you may hear some things now and again. If we are back in the area we would for sure stay here again.
