| Beautiful outdoor area with plunge pool (do not expect to do laps) - thats where we spent all our time. Covered area for when the rain comes as well so you can still be outside. AC + fans mean you can be comfortable inside too. Love the chill vibe of the town and easy to walk to beaches, groceries and restaurants. Thanks! | |

My husband & 2 adult children w/their significant others rented Casa Domical for 1 week. We were very happy with the accommodations & the village of Dominical. The master bedroom is large with a very comfy bed & 2 balconies. The only gripe I have is there was nowhere to hang your clothes. The one closet was locked, most likely w/the owner's personal items, but there were plenty of drawers to use. The Casa is well equipped with all that you need for preparing your meals. There is a cooler & folding chairs to bring to the beach which is just a short walk down the gravel road. There are towels for the pool but they are not for the beach. I found this to be inconvenient as there is not towel rental at the beach. I really dont want to have to bring towels in luggage or purchase them upon arrival. The pool water was a refreshing temp & we enjoyed having it when not at beach. There are large canopy type tents w/chairs & internet for rental on beach which we appreciated very much. The vendor named Hansel(sp?) was such a sweet friendly guy & a hard worker. We had fun with him & tipped him well. He gave us a large bag of prawns one day as a thank you! 😋 The people in & around Dominical were really friendly. There are many restaurants & bars to go to. If you prefer the resort or all inclusive type of vacation with large hotels than this spot is not for you. Our family like a boutique style accommodations & diy. Costa Rica is so beautiful & there is so much to see & do! We can't wait to go back!! |

We were very pleased with this property. The place was well equipped and had everything we needed for our time there. Short walk to Dominical beach and maybe a kilometre walk to all the restaurants in the Main Street. The area was very friendly and we will definitely be back to Dominical. |

I wouldn’t stay here again. Overpriced and needs maintenance. There is not actually A/C in all bedrooms - A/C for third bedroom was living room unit so could not close the door to kitchen/living room area when sleeping. Pool needs repair, tiles missing leading to scraped up feet, pump wasn’t working properly. Appliances were old and in need of repair. The oven was very hard to light and all the temp numbers had been rubbed off the dial. Kitchen faucet leaked. Washing machine did not work well. All these wouldn’t be a huge deal to me if I hadn’t paid double of anything else I have paid in the area including at new construction with bigger pool. Response: This review is quite surprising as we hadn't had these reports before. In terms of the washing machine, we offered to have our maintenance team go look at it and evaluate it, however, her response was "You can schedule washing machine tech after we leave." We have a private laundry service that we provide free of charge in these types of situations. This home is competitively priced for the location and the dates of her travel. She knew the rate at the time of reservation. In response to her review, we have the pool scheduled for re-tiling in April 2023 (due to existing reservations it was not possible to have it done sooner - we are sorry about that). We are sorry you didn't enjoy your time at the home or at the beach. We have over 40 other properties in the area and we would welcome you back and, like all repeat renters, offer a discount for returning. Pura vida |

Home was clean and tidy and equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. I still can't get used to not flushing toilet paper, but this is not the only property where that is not allowed. I wish property owners would install/upgrade their plumbing to allow for flushing of used toilet paper, as I feel it very unsanitary to have soiled TP in the bathroom during a visit. My only other issue with this property is the check-in process was a bit cumbersome. We did not get check-in details until after our check-in time (3:00PM), but the problem was that we arrived a few minutes early to the property and the property manager communicates through WhatsApp (no WiFi or internet service at the property location). So, in order to get the check-in information, we had to drive several miles down the road to get cell service to be able to communicate with the property manager via WhatsApp, and then drive back to the property to access the house. It would have been nice to already have the check-in information (or at least the WiFi info to be able to communicate with the property manager upon arrival) before driving outside of cell service. Other than the above, this rental was good and we would consider staying again in the future. Response: Kelly Thank you for your stay and we appreciate the feedback. Regarding the plumbing: that is an issue for the entire country, as Costa Rica does not currently have waste water treatment plants for homes to connect into. Hopefully that didn’t impact your rating that you gave us, as that is entirely out of the control of any property owner in the entire region. In regards to the check in process: You were provided with the check-in instructions via the digital guidebook link on September 30th - almost 6 weeks in advance. On October 1st you acknowledged that you had received all of the information. You wrote back “Perfecto! Appreciate the information.” That information clearly stated to you the check-in and arrival process. On November 10, the day of arrival, we sent a note to you at 7:48 am confirming the information and map location. | What a terrific value for a beautiful 3 bedroom 2,5 bath with fenced in outdoor pool in backyard along with outdoor shower! Beach just 2 blocks away on dirt road w curious cows on farmland right out from front door. We love to walk and Dominical has wonderful restaurants & local shops right around the corner from unit. Wildlife abundant and the surf was super for our entire week! Locals super friendly & unit was self efficient w locking touch pad on front door! We went waterfall swimming and were blessed to see Mama Humpback with her baby jumping up out of the water multiple times close to our whale watching tour! Got pics of 4 Scarlet Toucans in trees near local vendor market. Awesome vacation we had!! | |

| Beautiful oasis near the beach and restaurants. Louey gave 5 star service from the start. He was very communicative and responsive during booking and leading up to our visit. The home was in a great location, very clean, and had all the amenities we hoped for. Easy walking distance to beach and shops/restaurants of Dominical. The area has a rustic/hippie vibe which we liked (compared to over-developed areas) but it was also nice to be able to retreat and relax in a very well-appointment home with plenty of space for our family. | |
